The Instructor Development Course (IDC) is an intensive program that prepares qualified Divemasters and Assistant Instructors to become PADI Instructors. It also prepares you for the two-day Instructor Exam (IE) which is usually conducted immediately after the IDC completion.
The IDC is an intensive program involving eLearning and a 10 day hands-on workshops and water session in St. Croix. The Emergency First Response Instructor class in included in the program.
The hands-on workshops, confined and open water workshops and the IE take place in Christiansted, St Croix, the largest and most beautiful of the United States Virgin Islands. St. Croix is a great place to dive and a great place to complete PADI Instructor training.
Our instructor programs are small, allowing plenty of time for individual attention for all candidates. Tanks and weights are included in the course fee for the IDC and IE.
Course fees do not include PADI fees, accommodation or books/materials. Contact Barbara for the current IDC Enrollment Form which outlines all costs.

Your Course Director is Barbara DeClerque. Barbara became a scuba instructor in 1984 and a PADI Course Director in 1995. She has personally trained over 700 PADI dive professionals and PADI specialty instructors.
